For those unfamiliar with web accessibility principles, creating accessible online content can appear to be a daunting task. Additionally, there is often the perception that one must be a skilled accessibility expert in order to create and deliver accessible website materials. However, there exists a core set of accessibility practices that web developers, designers, and content authors can implement resulting in highly functional and accessible online content. Following simple practices for images, heading, links, and text as well as the basics for keyboard navigation and media content can lead to websites that are usable by a diverse audience. This session will identify simple accessibility best practices to consider for delivering accessible website content.
