The first mantra of the Drupal community is "Don't hack core."
That is great advice for site builders and people new to Drupal.
Unfortunately Drupal is not perfect and sometimes the problems and limitations that Drupal has can only be overcome by hacking core.
We will talk about when to hack core.
When to use other peoples core hacks.
This session will include a case study of how and why we hacked core for a specific site and how we maintain it.
