A significant focus for University Communications is to build institutional capacity to deliver personalized, persuasive messages to the audiences that need to receive them. To further that effort, UComm is in the process of building a news content aggregation and federation platform dubbed Unity.

The Unity platform will be built on a digital experience platform (DXP) incorporating connections to Drupal, WordPress, and Adobe Experience Manager; an enterprise search engine; a data storage service for end-user engagement metrics; and an enterprise-level content management system. The platform will also connect to UComm's Marketo instance and the upcoming replacement for SALLIE, the university's digital asset management (DAM) system.

Dave Kuhar, Director of Web Technologies for University Communications, will share details of the effort and how it will help enable collaboration across the university's communications functions and lead to personalized messaging for the community.
