As more time passes from Backdrop CMS's fork from Drupal 10 years ago, in many ways the projects retain some solid similarities (content types, taxonomy, views, etc.) but in certain areas the projects have diverged more dramatically. Drupal marches further away from a post-end-of-life Drupal 7 and new features for Backdrop often answer the same questions in different ways (although not always).

In this session, I'd like to examine the development of a version of Layout Paragraphs for Backdrop, and show how the same questions that led to Drupal's version of Layout Paragraphs are answered in a different way in Backdrop, and why.

Development of Layout Paragraphs for Backdrop has recently been accelerated with some funding from the University of Colorado Denver, College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, and as a result we'll be able to demo the new functionality live.
