Many of us at Stanford work on small (but mighty!) teams that require the assistance of outside vendors for expertise and execution. Often finding the perfect match for your project can feel like a difficult round of The Dating Game. With so many fish in the sea it is normal to feel anxious with questions like 

  • Where do I start?
  • Who do I talk to?
  • What do we actually need help with?
  • How can I ensure success?
  • That last project was crazy! How can we prevent that from happening again?
  • Who will best support our team from the beginning through delivery and potentially beyond?

In this session I will walk through a recent vendor selection process and detail the steps taken to secure the perfect partner for our project. Tips for essential pre-work, aligning your team, creating a solid RFP and more will be shared. I will also invite others to share their stories of success and/or failure in this noble endeavor.
