Managing Drupal Like Salesforce

A little over a year ago DrupalCamp New Jersey, I shared how the University of Colorado was shifting from a locked down CMS as a service model to leveraging Devops/Webops to empower Site Builders for some sites. That plan suffered a bit of a set back when CU abandoned their dreams of launching a 4th, online-only campus and the funding for my role with it.

Layout Paragraphs: Answering the same questions, differently

As more time passes from Backdrop CMS's fork from Drupal 10 years ago, in many ways the projects retain some solid similarities (content types, taxonomy, views, etc.) but in certain areas the projects have diverged more dramatically. Drupal marches further away from a post-end-of-life Drupal 7 and new features for Backdrop often answer the same questions in different ways (although not always).

Drupal 4 everyone - Site templates and more

At DrupalCon Atlanta, site templates were revealed as an initiative to level the learning curve and provide an easy start to ambitious site builders and developers to get started with Drupal. This session focuses on what makes a site template, the first site templates out in the market , and how we can create others so everyone can enjoy Drupal out of the box and reverse settings only as they need to. What WordPress and Joomla had for years, but with all the benefits Drupal adds.
